Narrow Body, auto, vert, AWD, RUF....
Neat car but a bit of a strange build. Narrow body car (wider always better IMO), auto, AWD, vert, big HP. Anyway not often see a car like this FS and wow was some $ spent. Unique build thats for certain. I know this is a 993TT forum but figured some may like to see this.

I think it looks fantastic but the tip limits the audience. I have a friend who is considering it but he likes to talk

Can't imagine Ruf has ever made an uglier car.

I think Al is correct. The only issue with a 996 turbo for me is the fried egg headlights. A 996 TT is a lot of car for the price. Don't know what it would cost to change the lights, but if I did, it would be a keeper. OTOH, non-turbo 996s are especially ugly.

I disagree. The only problem with 996 and TTs is over supply. Fried headlights are subjective and not a factor playing into 996 GT2 and GT3 values.

I too am "warming" to the runny egg lights over the years. I'll admit the 99 and 2000 were blasphemous being literally the same as the Boxster. But the revised lights on the 2001 turbos and beyond are really not bad IMO. I think they were just a little ahead of their time because now just about every car in the market has freaky headlights. That's including the new Boxster and the new coveted GT 4 & all new Caymans; they have all moved to the sculpted look with elongated lights. It was just a huge gasp in 1999 (sincerely nasty) and it has never recovered in the purist's eyes. But the turbo lights and I think they carried the turbo lights to the full line after 2002 I think. They are not so bad. It's just those first few non-turbo years are A dark time in design history. Interesting to see how history will treat the 996 turbos going forward.
