Riviera Blue 993TT for sale
Looks like a Canadian car for sale in Canada. Anybody here know this car?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...m=231577888339 will be interesting to see how much it goes for. |
The "Hated Seat" in the listing must have driven the price up! :)
|
yes, when you buy it, you hate yourself for paying so much, so you in the hated seat :)

quik sale
This car has been on autotrader.ca for a long time. Started at around $350K US$ if I recall, so, considering the colour, it is now priced for a quick sale.:roflmao:

I'm thinkin' the price is just toooo high. There are 21 priced and half a dozen unpriced 993tt's on cars.com and nothing seems to have moved in months.

I don't think $309k for a low mile Riviera Blue TT is too bad , if that car would of been a perfect car in sure they are plenty of collectors would of picked it up already , the car looks like it has lots of bad stories .

I love the Riviera Blue look. But is unique color really worth a ~$100K+ premium? Otherwise it's a nicely optioned, <30K miles, '97 model year 993TT that would otherwise probably sell in the $180-200K range if it were a standard color combo. Put another way, is Riviera Blue enough to put a 993TT close to 993 Turbo S territory in terms of price?

The car is canadian spec.
Therefore it cannot be imported to USA until it is 25 years old or older. This is what is killing the sale IMO. Had it been old enough to import to USA it would be long gone at $300k u.s Euro is weak which perhaps is keeping interested buyers overseas at bay... same goes for local canadian buyers not looking to pay big U.S dollar price only for the CDN dollar to swing back around in 5 years or so... It would mean overpaying for the the car by 20% if the cdn dollar goes close to par again... Unfortunately for the seller, the car is going to have to be realitically priced in CDN dollars and will have to stick around in canada for a little while longer.... Price pointing this car in U.S dollars was a pipe dream |
