Like everyone else, I have no idea what's going to happen but the supply of 993 tt's for sale is by far the highest since I started looking 7 or 8 years ago. There are 15 on cars.com right now for up to $200K to $250K. I haven't seen one sell so, hefty supply, slow movement, smells like a peak to me.

It does seem that there are way more cars than buyers at least at the higher asking prices. Most likely the more sought after low mile and high option cars are selling quickly and quietly on the sidelines. I posed the question regarding original and stock 993's over a year ago on the regular 993 forum. Through the years 993's tend to have been modified quite a bit to improve drivability and performance. How long before the totally stock cars take over the market? Most cars are worth more if they are just left as they left the factory. I don't feel like this has caught up to the 993 market 100%. I'm curious to see where the Canepa modified 959's find their place as the years go on.

all it does is help the realistically priced ones sell fast...if priceed high your 1st wave buyers is typically your most serious...lose them and it starts to tarnish, then starts to hurt more then help

I'm obviously thrilled with valuations but these prices led me to the direction of purchasing another 911....a 2005 Turbo S. My 993 is still driven but only reserved for more special occasions; not going to work everyday with me anymore. If you factor everything into it it's costing about a dollar a mile to drive it. So I'm getting my kicks from another. I've got 50,000 miles on the 993 clock... so it's no museum piece....but I think @ 50k it's a borderline collector/drivers example. But even drivers examples are bringing six figures. It's probably a good idea to limit the 993's miles from now on....still drive but not drive into the ground....idk...good idea?

And my family of all girls likes the convertible anyway. Here's a few pics.

trouble is all these bastards are giving other 993 turbo owners the same crazy idea that they can get this kinda of money... Monkey see, monkey do.

It has killed two deals on me already. They all now think the cars are worth a million dollars.

New RL name? Good find on the 996TTS. Honestly the 996TT are like best bang for your buck in the whole 911 lineup, where can you find such performance and all around usability for that price. No one can feel guilt adding on DD mileage.

To the non-Porsche enthusiasts esp non air cooled guys it still turns heads on the road. It's still a 911 Turbo!

As for adding miles on the 993TT, well that's a whole other debate. Btw, nice house too!!

Thanks!

Yes I missed out on a part b/c of my crazy old name (shhhzaammm). The seller could not find me b/c he couldn't spell it. Well he didn't try very hard.... but my fault/loss.
Yes when I joined years ago I never thought I'd really hang around (why a nonsensical prior name) but these like-minded individuals on here are like a fraternity.

Wow! Someone is a little bitter.. Is this any different than the GT3 RS market? How about I offer you under market for your 7.1RS?

truth be told, the 993 market doubled in price in last two years, wheras the 997.GT3 market never really depreciated and the .2GT3RS examples that did sell before the bubble as low as 120k went back up to $180k.
My .1RS was a $100k car and is now maybe on a good day $125-135k, which might be market, but not double....

Now if i were to think i could get $175-200k because of all the GT3RS hype, then yes I would be just as bad as those turbo owners holding out for $200k+ for $150-170k cars

That being said, in this gamble the sellers will either sit on the cars or the market will continue to go higher.....
Some buyers like myself are waiting for the music to stop before we grab a chair....
