We are hoping for a VERY BIG winter this year. It is a place you can ski for DAYS and never recross your tracks.
BTW, very jealous. Mammoth is my favourite ski mountain in the USA.

We pretty much stick to chairs 22 and 23 since we go for the steep stuff we don't have in the east. If it's a big POW year we'll be down. Sorry about hijacking this thread but I think the initial issue has been addressed.

Mammoth is more "homey" than Aspen. There is money in Mammoth but not like Aspen. Its a huge mountain where Aspen has several resorts. There is three lodges on this one mountain and that doesnt include the lodges ON the mountain, I think there is 3 or 4 of those. But yea its more down to earth but that doesnt mean you wont see Richard Gere or Julia Roberts on the slopes.
If you ever get a chance to come out Ferrari let me know, I have a place in Mammoth. I have been sidelined with a back injury that has kept me off the slopes for5 years, but this year I am going back so I can see my boys snowboard.
Ron I like 23 also because I like the Cornice but if there are alot of people sometimes we head to the backside. Whats amazing is how long it can take you to ski across the mountain!! From the backside over to Eagle
