Just remembered, I used a REAR seat buckle and mounted it in a newly drilled hole in the side mount. This sits at the same height as the top of the seat. Hope that makes sense! They really are a great seat once you have them dialled in!

Thanks for sharing that info, I'll spend a few hours on it tomorrow and post some pictures of the interior. My friend spend 14 hours detailing inside and outside! Looks sick!

Just posting a little update. managed to get the seats mounted to my liking, special thanks to ACEparts_com for your help. Reversed the brackets like you said and did some custom work so I could use the oem seat belt buckle! It's like driving a different car with these seats, I absolutely love the 6gt3 seats. Spent so many hours in that seat when I drove my MK1 back in the days.
Today I managed to weld the RUF exhaust tips. Like always it took longer than expected but very happy with the end result! It kind of puts the finishing touch on the rear bumper.

I'm not so sure you should be giving up the airbag so easily... it really can be a lifesaving device. Two of my best upgrades were the Ruf steering wheel and the Ruf shifter. That shifter coupled with the SSK and Golden Rod made a really nice difference.

You make a good point about the airbag, definitely a gamble! I just love the feel and look of those momo wheels. Actually not a big fan of the ruf steering wheel. Might consider a 996rs wheel. They don't look as dated as the oem one.

Re-cover a 996 3 spoke and your good to go. Airbags are a must, and not because of you, but the other crazy people out there!

Guys, talking about steering wheels I have always been extremely happy with the decision to go Techart, they take the standard bus drivers wheel and make it smaller and chunkier with couple of thumb grips, throw in Alacantara leather and carbon. It feels a real quality piece and lovely to use...

Hey what's with the rear lenses that have a cosmetic bump-out?... on the side around the securing screw?

Never noticed that before....is that a euro thing?

Not quite sure what you mean? The rear lenses are US stock! Do you see it in second picture?
