Default Rebuild front Differential?

I know the manual claims it isn't a serviceable item and I'm willing to pony up the funds for a new diff from porsche but has anyone attempted to rebuild one? Seems to me anything is rebuild-able with enough effort. I'm just curious as to how much effort.

I've never seen one rebuilt.

I'd contact someone like "Guard" transmission. They likely be someone that could rebuild it if anyone does so.

You have a problem with yours, or are you just asking?

Had a problem. 75K on the original and it started to whine. Found a used unit with 30K on it for a good price. Now I have a core that hasn't been ground to dust and would like to rebuild it. The idea of a piece of purely mechanical machinery being non-rebuildable is really blowing my mind plus its so un-German.

I mean its just a differential. New hard facing on the ring and pinion, new bearings, set the depth, what else is there?
