basically, he cut the piece and flip it so gives a perfect clearance..
but my shift **** still slightly tilted to the right side...

Looks like a reasonable solution to the dimple. My car is 2wd now so I don't need the clearance but had made a tunnel cover out of aluminum at one point with an elevated portion under the shifter for clearance. Maybe give us a pic of the tilted **** so we understand what you are talking about. Is it just the **** or the shifter? When replacing the ****, the rubber piece inside can be seated incorrectly making the **** sit crooked.

A properly done dimple is much more subtle and better looking than the solution above - but that may be just me ....

Skull, will take a picture and get share. i think its just the ****. I replaced the orginal one for the alum ****. Dont recall seeing any rubber piece...
