The only thing I can't see that you may not have tried is straight bypass pipes? I made my own and they're greeeeeat!
None of the above set ups are suffice? Or are ya afflicted with a bad case of modaholic disease? I've been suffering from this horrible condition since I was about 5 yrs old. Always tearing things apart and trying to make them better. From Tonka on.......

Ha well I can't by-pass mufflers since i have the cats by-passed already......unless i want to wake the dead.

But i just need something that my lil girls aren't afraid of

I have interior drone too.... so i need something.

this Billy Boat is the last item made that i didn't try yet.....

You have first hand experience with these mufflers? BB claims the world...all the sleazy sales tactics of ridiculous hp gains etc... so i thought these were a low restriction. I'm still searching for the perfect sound...that's all i care about.

These to me look like the cheap Chinese mufflers that are just filled with matting (bad stuff). Chambered mufflers usually the best but they are quite loud almost always.

So again...you have heard these? has anyone heard BB exhaust?

thanks again

Joe

BB fine exhaust manfolds (on now sold 994C4S) but the BB cans were way too loud and lots of cabin rumble; had to discard BB cans and installed stock cans that matted perect with BB manifolds.

too loud? That's the first I've heard BB being described as that.....I thought they would be too tame.

This is all subjective.

I wanted them (and probably almost everyone out there) louder than stock w/o drone in the cabin or sounding like a machine gun fart...that's it.

and that is becoming elusive even after completely fabbing my own

My old, stock 993TT (Waldo) came to me with BB mufflers. They were too quiet for me, and I went with some Fabspeed bypasses. Those old mufflers came with square-end tips which never looked right to me.

Thanks Steve I agree bout the tips. They call them oval but marketing in need a bit of a geometry refresher i think. So they are coming off in favor of large ovals or 996 style overlapping ovals.

The Fabs won't work with my cat-less configuration w/o droning.....

But what I want to know Steve is were they "better" than oem? or did they still flatulate?

Shaz,
I can't really compare them to OEM, but they didn't "motorboat" (my term for flatulence) at idle, nor did they drone at any rpm.

Default Exhaust

The only negative of the cat-less straight by pass exhaust is at idle. From there on it's very livable. Once you leave the neighborhood, you're fine. I made these for a guy in the UK who wanted to see what it was like. This is with iphone so it's nominal at best but I am telling you it's not bad. I have the stock digital sound system and it's fine. Don't laugh at the narration.
