97 TT Arena red on grey - $71,500 - Canada
No affilliation. Hope a Rennlister gets this one not a dealer. Sport seats, US car. It's about $64,000 USD at todays exchange rate.
edit: It has 70,000 miles = 113,000 kms

aarrgh...the grey interior really kills it for me, otherwise I'd be picking it up this afternoon (and drive it back home in the snow if needed)!!!
It was for sale last summer with the same pics, really weird that it didn't sell yet. Is it the color combo or perhaps there is something else?

40k miles for 71,000? Well that appears to be........
....... A STEAL!!!!
yeah arena with black is more rare and did a little better with time (75% of arenas will have grey interior) but still 71k is a great deal...has to be a story in there....be cynical

Wow I haven't been paying attention...
Didn't know the Canadian Dollar Flip-Flopped with the US Dollar. Today at .89, for awhile Canada had it on the US dollar which makes this much more attractive.

I wonder what the compete engine overhaul in 2005 was all about. Probably something to do with the price. Suspect it may be one of those "you get what you pay for". Don't know.
But if you are truly set on getting into a 993 TT for about US $65k, this is it.

Why is engine overhaul a bad thing? Only if it is done by a shop that is not known and not enough miles to prove its work quality.
Whole 993 interiors can be bought around $6-7K. Turbo specific parts for the back seat may be extra but there is nothing else different from a turbo interior and a regular NA.

This is def way below market, if it's clean your prob getting the deal of the year.
Someone once told me to do extra diligence when purchasing cars from Quebec. Maybe someone from Quebec can chime in, but mileage tampering etc I heard wasn't uncommon.

If I recall correctly it is 70,000 miles and was the same price last summer...that's why it didn't sell. Danny struggled to get $69K for his 40,000 mile car not long before that...

not uncommon? Shame those white gauges sure are pretty. But if I were buying a low mile 993 with alternate gauges I'd want a book of documentation and even then.....
But you can tell really, the carpeting, the little nicks here and there in a car covered with leather...you would know...unless you only see what you want to see.

Egad. I've bought 4 porsches in the last 3 mos so my cup runneth over. But unless there are hidden problems, this car appears underpriced as much as $25K. Where are all the 'I'm looking for a tt' posters now??

I'm in talks with the owner. It does have 70,000 MILES or 113,000 KM. This would be my first 993 TT. I have only owned one porsche and it was a 1998 boxster about 8 years ago. The only thing I'm not sure about is the higher miles, is this really going to affect the collectibility of this car? Or should I pay more money and get a car with have the miles? My plan is to keep it for a long time. Does anybody have any background info on this car when it was owned in Seattle?

Nothing inherently wrong, but at the time I was under the impression that it had about 42K mi and the overhaul was in 2005 (assuming low miles). Just would need info as to why it was needed, where it was done and at what mileage. It could also be a good indicator of the TLC it received. The fact the owner disclosed it is a good thing.
Seems like this is a really good deal for somebody wanting a driver. There are not many TT available on the open market right now.
