Anyone else get so thrilled by their Turbo after so many years?
It's been an 11 year, 40,000 mile affair with my Tweeked turbo and after a recent DME relay failure, thermostat sticking open (and the subsequent pipe noises at start up) she is absolutely flying like some kind of unguided missile.
Even after 11 years she still thrills & scares me in equal measure! Truly, truly amazing. All cars should be like this!
Now, in for a complete body restoration and then back to work in all weathers and uses.
----------
Kevin's UMW Stage 2 turbos, RS Tuning 475 ECU, Front oil cooler, RS front hubs, Pss9 suspension, LED lighting, HID's, 200 Cell Cats, GT3 Seats when in the mood.

didn't get mine til Mar 2005, was perfectly happy with my 85 targa until a friend let me drive his 993t, then I knew I had to get one. Best decision I made. I think I even got my personal doc to write me a script or recommend to my wife that it would be therapy. Couldn't be happier! Perfect combo of rawness/speed/diy workable. Look forward to every drive!

Bought my Guards Red 993TT in 2003, had to sell it in 2005 to raise the capital to buy a business that is the cornerstone of my little empire. Spent the next eight years waiting for it to come up for sale, and got my hands on it again in September last year. 4,000kms and eight years had passed. I love it above and beyond all the 911's I've been fortunate to own over the years. It is a magnificent machine, and it stands up against anything Porsche has made since. A magnificent machine, but then you all know that......

I couldn't agree more. Rufus is my fourth 911, a journey that began in 1972: a fabulous 1970 911E, an ultra reliable 1974 911 Targa, Waldo: my first 993TT, and now Rufus. Rufus... the perfect blend of sexy, quick, fast, and fun. He gets driven once a week just because I want to.
Part of the fun is being on Rennlist with my fellow Nitwits. Keep it up.

It's somewhat like sex. Once you've experienced boost, you can't go back. I haven't had my foot in my car for a while, but I know all 500 ponies are there when I want them. It's like having that young thing ready whenever you want her.

Hi Bergamasco. PM me and I'll send my phone number. My only problem with the T look cab was it did not have a turbo. Other then that it was lots of fun, however, 80's 911's have marginal AC and in NC/SC that's a problem. I have found that the turbo look cars seem more handling friendly then narrow body cars. Just my $.02.

I instructed this like 75 year old guy in a pristine stock 993tt at mid ohio. Was kinda surprised driving it how wallowy/soft the car was compared to my over modded 993tt. Monoballs everywhere make it an exciting/visceral ride for sure. Just doo it!
