993 GT2 parts catalog?

I can find PET on Porsche site for 993 C2, C2S, C4, C4S, RS, Turbo but not for street GT2.

I also can get information on the motorsport GT2 but I cannot find part lists and #s for the street 993 GT2...?

Where can I find a parts catalog for the street GT2?

I need it to prepare the documentation to legalize my my C2 to GT2 conversion. (need to prove the inspectors I have changed all drivetrain, suspension, brake etc. components to relevant GT2 ones).

Contact rob.owen@porschemotorsport.com , he should be able to help, cheers..

Woah, quite the bureaucracy.:crying:

Then again, such oversight does limit the crap that passes for "road legal" here in the states.

Juha, if you weren't able to find them, contact me and I will WeTransfer a whole lot 300mb+ of pdf files for the GT2 and 993.

deactivateduser66 11-25-2013 08:09 AM

I will upload the files on WeTransfer and will post the link here when I get home :)
Sharing is caring ;)

Juha, could you explain more on the 'legalizing' your conversion? I'm very interested in the topic... Thx!

Thanks, a lot of nice documents. But no GT2 parts catalog though...I doubt one even exists...:(

Rare911s, thanks for the info! I will try him as well.

deactivateduser66 11-25-2013 03:38 PM

Juha, have you checked them thoroughly? Its under the GT2 folder, I believe its got everything you'd need.

secretcollector 11-26-2013 01:28 PM

Incredibly nice of you to take the time to post this. I downloaded it but cannot open the resulting file. Wondering if you would be kind enough to email it to me at michaelkelter1@mac.com?

With thanks,

Michael

Woopss.... I didn't notice there were folders too I'm trying to learn my new Macbook. Thanks a lot for sharing the files.
Allthough, still not street GT2 parts catalog. I am thinking there isn't one? Most parts are shared with 993 turbo in any case.

You need to download a program that can uncompress RAR files. Such as winrar etc.

Full Boost 11-26-2013 05:13 PM

Juha,

I have some stuff from my conversion lying around… its mainly (or totally) the body stuff to do with fender flares and inner liners etc.

Let em know if you want me to find it and scan it for you?

Simon.

deactivateduser66 11-26-2013 05:18 PM

Hey Michael, no worries, its my pleasure. However the files are quite large therefore they can't all be sent. Perhaps if you'd try to download them again. Juha was able to view them all.

Awesome info!

The PDF contains both street GT2 & CS and GT2 evo specs and parts list. The only drawback is parts # ending with an <R> can only be purchased at PMNA or Weissach.

Many thanks for sharing the document.

You guys are all teasing me because I simply cannot get the .rar to open on my mac and have tried downloading software and everything. Admittedly, I live in the stone ages so might just have to give up. If anyone can send me the GT2 catalog/parts list via any other method, boy would I be grateful!

Have you tried the free version of Winzip for the MAC?

PM me a mailing address / PO box & I'll send you these + other 993 files on a USB drive, or meet @ one of the local cars-n-coffee events next spring.

thanks a bunch to eatbreathedrive for sharing!

edit -> filtered out just the GT2 files (~17Mb): http://tinyurl.com/993gt2

I run an old 2007 Imac and had no problem to download the files. The trick is "it takes some time too download the file". When you download keep an eye on the upper right of your screen, you will see some sort of a small icon moving, wait till it stop then go on your hard drive to retrieve the file.

Would it be possible to share it again as it is no longer available.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Old thread alert.

Thanks Kein for posting the GT2 Motorsports catalog!

I'm trying to research all of the components in my engine. I was told that I had GT2 Evo cams by the prior mechanic that installed them. When I searched out the part # I couldn't come up with anything until I found the catalog Kein posted a couple years ago.

Here is what is listed in the GT2 catalog. I have the 993 105 246 83 listed below from 1997. Does anyone know what the difference is between the that cam and the one from 1996 which is 993 105 246 70 is? Thanks

Some guys were discussing the use of gt2 and turbo cams on NA cars. I didn't understand a thing, but they seemed very knowledgable. I couldn't find it again, try to find them at the 993 NA discussions.
Best luck
