Looking for a TT...help appreciated
Gentlemen, and maybe Ladies?,
I am looking to get back into the TT world. I currently have a 71 S, which I love, but may be willing to part with it for the right car. I would like a good quality driver, in the $58-68k range. I would like miles to be in the 40-50k range. I like unusual colors, but would go for about anything, and hard back sport seats would be a plus. Any leads would be greatly appreciated...Thanks Steve
p.s. I noticed there is no official 993 Turbo for sale thread...Not sure on the rules for that, but it may be a good idea...

We use the "For Sale" section - but you have to be a member to use that. Sometimes members will post for sale on this list or the 993 list - but its not consistent.
Good luck looking - there are several people on the hunt right now - and winter is setting in so the choices go down.
Cheers,
Mike

Interesting, I've been considering a vintage 911 to trade for my Turbo. Unfortunately for me, I've got high mileage Polar Silver example (purchased at 77k and currently has 88k), but I do have hardback seats and maybe midnight blue is an unusual color. Probably worth 47,000 on the open market, but i'm willing to trade up. I've realized in my 2 years of ownership that this car is way too fast for public roads and I can't enjoy it responsibly. Because I have a commercial driver's licence, I found out the hard way that speeding in your personal vehicle can mean revocation of commercial vehicle driving privileges. Either way, can you post pics of your early 911?

Steve,
How about posting some photos of your 1971 911S. Still 2.2 liters? Still mechanical fuel injection? Still got the Fuchs? As far as I am concerned, your car is the ultimate for the early cars.

Yes it still mechanically injected, and the matching numbers motor was built and massaged by none other than Jerry Woods. It still retains fuchs, all four just refished by Wheel Enhancements. Sport seats in original leather, dealer installed hood lights, and sport muffler. Its a cool car, with great patina..Here's a few pics..
