Installing rear seats

It is difficult to install rear seats in a car that comes with the rear seat delete?
Will it look factory after it is done?
Thanks if anyone has any info.

Very difficult if it came from the factory without rear seats. Welding is required.

Not too hard if you have all of the parts. I've done it. And plan to re-install the RSD soon. If you want to buy all of my rear seat gear, PM me. Gray interior.

Btw, no welding was required. The seat backs mount to a central bracket and that is welded from the factory. I had mine cut out of a wrecked car and bolted the bracket to my car. No need to weld it in. All mounts and holes for the seat belts are already there.

Patrick's car is different than mine. The seat belt mounts were there in my car, but the seat back mounts were not. You can order the center bracket from the dealer ( at least you could 5 years ago) and it can be screwed into place, even though its welded from the factory. The outboard seat back mounts were not in my car and they are not available from the factory. I had to cut them out of a wreck. I had them glued in place at first but finally had them welded at some point. I think I have posted some pictures in the past. You also need a new rear deck, because the RSD cars don't have holes for the shoulder harnesses.

To be honest, by the time I got the conversion done, my kids were too big to sit in back. Not sure its worth it.

Greg, my memory may be incorrect and our cars are likely the same. . But I will take a look at how my seat backs are mounted. RUF did the work knowing that I would go back to the RSD once my kids got too big.

For what's it worth my kids love riding in the back! My girls are 3 and 5 and fit perfectly with a booster pad.
