Spacers for 993 S - adding 19 RUF wheels
I am adding 19' RUF wheels to my car (specs below) and always have tried to make sure my wheels sat near flush with the fenders (a hair in) and was curious what size spacers people may recommend and any pics?
My car is a 993 S wide body...(Ruf turbo R conversion)
Wheel details I believe are as follows:
8.5 x 19: , ET56
11 x 19: ET70
Thanks all... I am trying to get all the parts I need before the car goes into the shop so all can get done at the same time etc.

Ruf makes all their wheels to fit the narrow body cars, so to look right, the wide body cars need an approx 1" spacer on the rear. Ruf generally supplies the correct spacer with the wheels... if your 997 is a wide body, be sure to take the spacers off and reuse them... if possible keep the Ruf spacers with the Ruf wheels.

You're going to need a big spacer. The car in the picture below is 11" wide et40. You would need 30mm spacer to get that offset. H&R makes 28mm and 32mm. That would get you down to et42 or et38

Be careful - the picture of the above car is Rotec RUF copies, not actual Rufs - and I think the offset is a bit different.
The tires do matter as well. I am running 10" rear 19" Rufs on the rear and use a 35mm spacer with Sumi III's in the rear - the rubber is not that wide (I think its 275). Others with the same wheels use a 28mm spacer and are getting rubbing, but that is using a high performance all-season. These are NOT the same wheels you are talking about since you have the 11" rears, so the offsets are different.
What I am trying to say is it may require some tuning to get it really flush, and it depends on the size and brand/type of tire you are using. You may require a iterative approach
Cheers,
Mike

Now told may need 28mm, anyway picking up both and will try both and then report back with an update hoping to add some value here as I know I have been asking more questions and not adding much help to others on the forum, hope to do so more in the future, thanks all for the help...
