Default dme relay fail

my dme relay is dead side of the road its a satarday dont have a spare
is there any way to short the relay to get the car home help!!!!

Sorry to hear about this. There are some good posts in the 993 Forum about DME Relay repairs. I'll try to search for you.

...and always carry a spare!! I carry 2 in case a friend needs one.

thanx for the help no h20 but all to no avail she came home on a flat bed with a bill for 300 euros
off to porsche in the morning where they can relieve me of another 60 euros ahhhhhhhhhhh

why don't you guys use AAA?
also lindsay racing sells aftermarket ones for about $15.

I got 2 for $53 from Pelican a couple of years ago and there was a guy at Pfaff when I was there today who paid $102 for one. Pays to shop around even for the cheap bits.

well heres the kicker went to two local porsche parts shops yesterday and the both didnt have dme relays in stock so took a look at the link that no h2o posted, got my solder iron out, and fixed the dme relay , took two mins cost nothing and works perfect

Good news! Still, make sure you order a spare DME Relay, and keep in the passanger's door pocket.

Actually you can jump it to test for DME failure if you only have the one DME. Procedure is in Streather but requires several paper clips.
