Default WTB: 993TT - $70K Budget

Patiently starting to search for the right 993TT. Ideally in the 20k - 35K mile range. $70k budget goal. Thanks!

I think based on casual observation of the market recently it will be challenging to find a 993TT in that mileage range with a budget goal of $70K, not impossible, but challenging much will depend on your color preference, stock or modded car etc...

Yup, the market is going up now - seasonal pull, and some of the prices - WOW!

I have no doubts that I can find a good car at that price. It just takes more work than relying on eBay for one's leads

As stock as possible...everything else is negotiable, but must be original paint.

Now your $70K budget is pre-tax, duties, fees etc?

Getting a car into Canada $70K all in, I'll say impossible with those miles.

Of course...I've imported over a dozen cars into Canada, so I think I know the routine and costs better than most.

Too bad that blue one is ~$80k and over your budget. It's a stunner and unique.

Yes it is a nice car, although I'm not a huge fan of blue interiors. Just to be clear, my goal is to buy a car for about $70K for the miles that I specified. However, I was offered a 17,000 mile TT locally last week for $80K that I was prepared to buy (I shared the pics with NoH2O to get his insights while I was considering making an offer), but someone else made an offer sight unseen before I could view the car. Another 'lister also sold a 14,000 mile TT locally in the fall for $80K, but I wasn't looking for a TT then. I really don't believe that there are very many "serious" buyers in this price range up here and in general, the US cars that actually sell don't sell for much more than they would have if listed in the US - especially when they are private sales. My car will show up

Good luck with your search. I, also, have noticed the prices inching up. My car just hit 36,700 km (23,000mi) thanks to the CanAm 2012 tour.

Thanks Gruppe. I spoke to the owner of your TT when it was for sale but I wasn't quite ready to purchase then. It is a beautiful example. Hopefully, I'll find one as nice as yours

Onami, I am very thankful you weren't ready to purchase.
As stock as possible
My car is stock and am a little torn right now. I think I am getting the mod bug. I like the wheels on Knight's cars and am thinking about purchasing some Pss10's to lower to Euro height. But I don't want to affect the value too much.

I don't think either of those mods would affect the value at all and both would look great! However, I prefer 18 inch Rufs over the 19's. I had 18's on my C2 (which happens to be in BC now) and they looked great with the Arena red.

That budget sounds reasonable.

These seasonal prices swings do make sense, let's see how prices are after summer. I think you are correct about serious buyers in this price range.

Good luck with your search!
