Default Upgrading suspension

I've decided to lower my 993TT to non-SUV height.

I don't plan on tracking this car, but who knows I could I suppose.

With that said, I'm going to go with the Bilstein HD and M030 springs.

Does that enable me to track on occasion if desired?

Thanks!

Instead of the M030 springs why not get the H&R red springs? This will be an improvement over the factory springs and depending on your alignment will also let you track your car occasionally.

If at all possible, I would lean towards the PSS10s.

Great setup for street and of course the occasional track days.

Good advice, I could do that.

I am worried slightly on losing the quality of my ride. I hear thats a bit rough going.

Best option is probably the adjustable PSS-10 but price point is much higher

Having had two lowered 993 Turbos, I have to say the ABSOLUTE BEST thing I ever did was GT2 uprights and tie rods. The car is lowered and you retain all of your suspension travel.
Bliss, compliance, handling nirvana.
I think I actually grew more hair and lost weight too.

Scott, I really want to do the uprights as well but for $1,500+ on the parts and another 4ish hours of labor...it's 2k. If the OP is concerned with the cost of the PSS10's then just wanted him to know the cost to do Uprights as well as it's not like putting turbo tie-rod ends on a 3.2 carrera.

I put KW V3's on my car(1st mod) and it completely changed the car. I think if possible going to a true coil-over like the Pss10 is worth it.

Also, make sure you know a knowledgeable Mechanic that can do the alignment. Kinetic Toe on a lowered 993...well not everyone knows how to do it correctly. ;-)

if you're going to do gt2 uprights, you might as well convert to rwd and buy motons. my 2 cents

Sure, but at $2700+ for the parts, and then labour and alignment -

Check on eBay for a used Ruf suspension setup. I have no idea on its condition, but my Ruf suspension way outperforms my former PSS-9 setup. Buyer bewary.

I understand it's not a cheap option. It's just nice not to have to drive around with a mouth guard.

LOL, well I do have some budget constraints.

My hope was to have suspension upgrade done parts included at $3k.

Then upgrade to the Fister Turbo exhaust

Looking and sounding proper!

Hmmm.....tough call $3K is a pretty good budget. Estimating PSS10s, all said and done probably in the $3800+ range. I do find the ride quality to be very good, again this is all very subjective.

Maybe someone can offer some insight on the H&R coilovers, those are at least $300+ cheaper?

+1 on the Turbo Fister exhaust, I've been very happy with it. Not too loud, no drone and just enough sound to keep you happy.

I will use my 993tt for street driving and had installed Koni FSD shocks with stock springs.
Btw Koni shocks have very good reviews.

rear
