Diverter Valve Upgrade
So I picked up a set of the Bosch 710N's and I plan on installing them this weekend along with a few other "while you're in there" things. I found this... http://p-car.com/diy/dump/ as a DIY and it all looks very straight forward.
Anyone done this recently that can offer any tips, or warn of any pitfalls?

nah, its not bad at all.
once you have the airbox and the blower motor removed, its just a matter of getting good angles at the clamps. Knowing what you've done on your car, this should be a breeze.

It always comes down to having the right tools for the job. I have everything out of the engine compartment already, just haven't tried to attack the diverters yet.
Would I be crazy to think that these might in some way help with boost issues and possibly help with IC hoses coming off?

I hear they should be replaced every 10 yrs. Also, if you hear a honking sound when you let off the the throttle, that is a telltale sign your diverter valves are toast. New ones are said to hold boost pressure more effectively, also said to recover better when new which allows for better spool after shifts.
They're cheap and I have the whole thing apart at the moment anyway so I'm putting them in.
