Pss9 the best choice?
I'm up in the air between two 993tt's. Both are low 20's mileage. One is bone stock, the other has PSS9, and from the looks of the photos it is ROW ride height, of course that may mean the same thing. Now I know I will have to change the ride height on the stock car, for aesthetic reasons alone, but if you were an old fart like me (66) which would you pick, everything else being equal?

I am exactly an old fart like you. The PSS-9s are quite adjustable for firmness, so even your old butt can find a comfortable setting. They are true "coil-overs" so they are also adjustable for ride height. The stock suspension probably will need replacement (another case of old-age), so you will probably end up with something like PSS-10s (the newer version of the PSS-9) on that car anyway, and you will be about $3000 poorer.
But, as you well know, $3000 is really chicken feed when you factor in the entire package. Get the car you love, that has the better service records, and better PPI results.

Steve, I was hoping I would hear from you. You are right, the money means zip to me at this point in my life. I was going to order a new 12C but then I would have a great car and no community. I really enjoy the dynamic of this site, you and Mr. Mellor especially, so my question remains, what suspension would you pick to start the slippery slpoe again.
Thanks always for this community......Chris

I would do the PSS9 route car, assuming all else equal.
Only because you can change the overall look and ride to your liking. That goes a long way when this is your bucket list car. You can always through stock suspension on it if you choose to sell. However the next guy will probably like the PSS9 option just like you.

I have the pss9's as well. I love them. Can't really complain much. I don't track my car so the pss9's were perfect for me. They gave me the option to adjust my ride height and stiffness. I run my car on the stiffer side and have no problems in the chicagoland area.

I too have the PSS-9's and think they are great both for road and track. They do however make the ride harsh when compared to OEM, even in the soft setting. If the car will be a daily driver on suburban streets pok-marked with potholes, the harsher ride can be agrivating. On the other hand, if its a Sunday drive on fast flowing roads........(sorry, I drifted off there for a second), the PSS-9s will please. Don't be fooled by the 9 settings. It's hard and pretty hard. That's it.
Anyway, forget the PSS-9's (you can put them or PSS-10's on for $2-3K). Buy the car that best suits you criteria. If they are equal otherwise, the PSS-9 would be a plus in my mind.

Like Nigel in Spinal Tap, I have PSS-11s................
But seriously everything posted here is spot on.
I have PSS-9s and they are great for me. If you can save $3000 and the cars are otherwise comparible, its the way to go.

Ditto here. Put them on around 6 or 7 years ago and set them to 6 rear and 5 front (if memory serves). Haven't touched them since. Great way to go.
