, or, is it rennlist?......so it's 95F and 50% humidity here in Toronto.....am I at the beach checking out the,..um, sand, mountain biking in the cool forest, sitting in the nicely air conditioned house or bar? Nope, at 105F in the garage it's the perfect time to wipe down the leather with Leatherique Rejuvenator!! Even dumber still - have to wipe it all off Friday when it's supposed to be even hotter, and 303 AP the vinyl, and really guys, it is mostly vinyl.
Next week I'm going to the beach.

This is what I have always thought and also why I started the thread about leather vs. vinyl a few months back. It seems that noone knows the immediate answer but I agree with you, in the rear seat area it's mostly vinyl.
Good job on the rejuvenator, been there done that . I was too lazy to take the seats out of the car so I did it in a hot day. Or rather, I did it in the shade and then afterwards rolled the car out in the sun to bake. Let us know your results, I had problems getting all the goo and residue off of the seats.
Oh and +1 on beer, makes it a whole lot easier

I did it a year or so ago and it came off ok but I let the car dry out a day or so before I used it.....but the rear seats and their trim appear to be leather. Not to highjack my own thread but paid close attention and I think all of the seats are all leather as is the part of the dash closest to the driver - the stitched bit but not the part closest to the window, under the dash where the knees hit is leather - not sure about the glove box cover; other leather bits are the arm rests, centre consol trim, shifter boot, steering wheel and maybe door sills, but i wouldn't bet on the latter.

I've been known to crank up the AC in the house, open the entry door into the garage from the house, put fan in doorway, and cool the garage down for major summer detailing projects.
In the fall and winter, this is much easier, since the gargae is heated.

I've read that leather rear seats were standard on all North American cars ....but it may be the "supple leather front and rear..$398" option that gives you the leather in back. My big discovery this time is that the front part of the dash is pleather too, only the part closest to the driver is leather.

I mean there's vinyl rear seats, leather rear seats and supple leather rear seats. The latter was an option you had to pay extra for. I don't know about the leather seats though. I have deviated stitching in my turbo on the rear seats as well so it seems just wrong if they would have done that on vinyl.. I agree with you however that the rear side panel covers and the whole rear shelf is vinyl, I'm just not sure about the rear seats.
Also what is "standard" can vary from one country to the other. For example on the C2S, in some countries the C2S cars were delivered with 18" hollows as standard equipment while in other countries it was an option and the car was delivered with the 17" cup IIs + spacers as "standard".
Sorry for the derailing of the thread
