Default Exhaust time?

I think its time for some exhaust for the TT. Anyone in the Dallas area have the Fister Sports? I would love to have a listen.

I have had the TT for a few weeks now and its an amazing car but really doesn't sound great. This weekend it became obvious to me. I drove a 930 turbo with borla exhaust - not too loud and sounded great. It also has Fabspeed headers. Then I drove a Ferrari 355 with a capristo level 1 setup - that just sounds sick. Then I drove the 993TT with the stock exhaust and in comparison it sorta sounded like a vacuum cleaner? I'm a fan of exhaust which is reasonably quiet until you accelerate hard and then it comes to life.

I did some searches on previous threads and seems like either folks are doing the bypass or Fister setups. I would love to hear one in person.

I went with bypass pipes and you're welcome to hear mine. A friend went with Europipes and we can arrange to have them side by side. I'm traveling right now but let's get together soon.

great post. I, too, love my 993 TT but always wanted a "meaner" sounding exhaust. Want to do something to get it throatier but not **** off the neighbors. Are Fister III's the answer??

There is only the Turbo option for our cars from Darin. The "stage" versions are for N/A cars

Thanks. I would love to hear it. Did the bypass pipes impact texas emissions?

Nope. Still have the cats just no mufflers. I'll email you with some meeting times.

I have the Fister turbo mufflers and love the sound. Much much deeper than stock and throatier than the Cargraphic mufflers that they replaced. .

FWIW I modified a set of stock mufflers and love the result. Had a welder cut them open and I simply unstuffed the packing. The stock mufflers are a straight-thru design anyway. Cost me <$100 to get them cut and re-stitched

Also, would this affect the resale value of the car? I know most people like to buy/keep these cars stock. THX!

I love the sound of those Fister's but we have a problem with 92db noise bylaws becoming epidemic up here. Not sure if it's an issue there.

I have the Turbo Fisters as well, amazing sound.

Parnelli, you goto FD Motorsports.net, exhaust section. If you want FD to modify your existing mufflers, or swap with them you can pay for that. If you want to keep your originals in case of resell, he will charge you a core fee and just send you a pair of Fister Turbos already modded.

You can do it all there online.

Thx Spidey. I would like to keep the originals due to resale of car purposes.

So what exactly am I to order?? What should I expect to pay and also how do I install them? I am not a wrench (at all unfortunately). So I would have to have a mechanic do it.

Finally, would this effect passing an emmssions test? Sorry for all the prolly stupid questions but I really like the idea of doing this.
