Carlos, It was at times very challenging to keep the project moving ahead and in the correct direction. There were many sleepless nights wondering if one guy could actually pull it off and at times finding the right vendors and expertise had issues, but in the end all the parts came together and a forged wheel was born. The inner rims came from Germany, the outer rims came from France, the bolts and nuts came from Italy, and the forged centers came from the good ole USA. There are of course other colors available for the centers - Stahlgrau, and the correct GT2 - and custom sizing for TT and narrow body 993 cars as well.

What a ride and how did we get there.

When it seemed your GT2 couldn't get any better, she now has fashion choices: 2 sets of "unobtanium" shoes

Congratulations to both you and Jim D.

Perfect wheels for a perfect Porsche

168, thank you, useful information on the price point, and it makes Jim's wheels even more of a screaming deal. While you lose the authenticity of original wheels, you get back all new materials that are equal to or better than originals, better than original craftsmanship, the ability to customize, and in this particular case the strength of forged centers.

BTW, all of my original Speedline wheels of the era have shown some level of deterioration in the clear coat, I understand that Jim uses an enhanced clear coat that should better weather the test of time.

Basal Skull, the wheels came mounted with tires, and I had completely forgotten to weigh them. Jim might have some information. If not, when I can, I will try to measure the weight deltas on the 993 RS sets to get an idea of differences, although if I remember correctly the 993 RS wheels are cast steel and not magnesium, unlike the OEM 993 GT2 wheels.

Complete set of very rare wheels. Refurbished 5 years ago and not used since. Ideal spare set for 993 GT2 owner or for GT2 lacking its original wheels.

So £16k GBP.
