I am posting for a colleague at work who has 2003 M3 with about 35,000 miles on the car...what independent shops would you recommend in the Northern NJ / tri State area? He went to a dealer in Manhattan where he lives and they wanted to charge $1,300 for an oil change indicating that a special heating up cooling down process was required on the M3s ... never owned a BMW but sounds like BS to me...
