Hi all, thanks for the kind words! :)
Yes, i´m really happy with the little black one and i regret no cent i spend on it! http://up.picr.de/4170286.jpg http://s1.up.picr.de/4170291.jpg http://s2.up.picr.de/4170292.jpg |
The original 964 RS bucket seats looks ok but they stored in a garage, not realy dry and the cushions were upholtsterd some time ago with wrong leather and the look wasn´t that nice and they smell bad!
So the buckets were painted in the colour of the car (only the space around the production stickers is still in original black), all cushion inserst shaped new and all build up on the new painted bucktes with using only new material! http://up.picr.de/4170371.jpg http://s1.up.picr.de/4170372.jpg http://s2.up.picr.de/4170373.jpg http://s3.up.picr.de/4170376.jpg http://s4.up.picr.de/4170378.jpg http://s5.up.picr.de/4170379.jpg http://s6.up.picr.de/4170381.jpg http://s7.up.picr.de/4170382.jpg http://s8.up.picr.de/4170383.jpg |
wow, that is beautiful
|
|
Wow
Amazing craftsmanship and well chosen modifications..
|
Christian that car of yours is absolutely SICK!!!
I met Marcus Bühler in Switzerland last month and we talked about you and your car (I don't remember how we got into it). He said you were crazy and I tend to agree :). Crazy, but in a good way :D! As other have said, very tasteful mods. Do you have the RS calipers in the rear? One more thing, where did you get that rollcage? Is it still available to buy somewhere or did you find it used? Very nice job! |

But i´m not that deep into this modification, a friend worked that out and at the moment they work on the GT2 ABS, etc. and try to find the perfect brake balance etc.! I will post updates! The bar is a Matter Clubsport! It´s out of production, rare and fast sold if one come into the market but i will hold my eyes open! @Scott : That are Victor Equioment rims, 8 and 11 x 19 inch with 235/35 19 and 295/30 19. I will look tomorrow after the offsets! They work great and they fit perfect without spacers! And they weight 8 Kg less than the 19 Ruf! Greetings Christian |
Fantastic project. Perfect mod list and quality work. Congratulations.

By far one of the best modified 993 I have seen in the past 8 years... Congrats and thanks for sharing.
|
Christian, your car keeps getting better.. WOW I'm speechless...
Love the RS washer bottle.. One question though: Since you have the litronics, isn't it mandatory in Germany (EU regulations) to have headlight washers if you have xenon headlights? Oh and I'm still looking for that clubsport rollbar :D |
wow!!
|
Finish! :)

|
SO shiney and sooooooooooooooooo clean. Well done sir!
|
and sooo smooth...
the gutterless top makes it extra slick-looking |
Really nice work, car looks stunning.
wheels are perfect |
Christian,
If Porsche could turn back time, they would make the 993 as an exact replica of yours. Dein Porsche ist einer der besten 993 auf der Welt mein Freund  |
awesome!
|
Nice!! One question though: Don't a roll bar need a cross member in the middle?
|
beautiful.. excellent workmanship!!!
|
Hi all,
thanks a lot for the kind words! :) @GT9111: No, it is a simple Club Sport bar from Matter, used by Porsche for the 993 RS and 993 GT2. There are some other bars but i want a clean and integrated look a bit more safety so the Porsche/Matter was the best choice. @TB993tt: "Engine details please" : in my list i have wrote them down but i´m thinking about a bigger upgrade! :D But not this winter because i just finished my 993 Cabrio conversion too and so i will go for driving and details the next time! :) http://up.picr.de/5124438.jpg http://s1.up.picr.de/5124439.jpg http://s2.up.picr.de/5124440.jpg http://s3.up.picr.de/5124441.jpg http://s4.up.picr.de/5124442.jpg http://s5.up.picr.de/5124443.jpg |
WOW!!! Now that's a 2011 993TT!!
Is that a Ruf tail? Do they still sell them? |
Wow is all that comes to mind, oh, and WELL DONE!! Lovely car this is!!
|
Your car looks amazing...I absolutely love it!
I noticed in the early pics that you had a black/darkened badge on the hood, where did you get that from? Thanks, Russ |
OK that is just...badass

One of my favourites on RL, very nice Christian!
Did you make the "RUF-style" spoiler yourself or did you buy it from RUF before? Also, I thought headlight washer nozzles are mandatory in Europe if you have litronics/xenon? I would love to delete mine but I don't think it's allowed? Great work, beautiful! |
Hi, Viggo the Spoiler is a original Ruf which i bought Second Hand.
And the washers are only a must have if the car is younger than 1998! That is the law in Germany. @Viggo and all: Thanks a lot for the kind words! |
Trully inspirational! Even your work area has integrity. Hope we see lots more.

That is beyond compare! Very, very well done. Wow.

@Viggo and all: Thanks a lot for the kind words! That RUF spoiler is so smooth and sharp looking. |
the problem with people bumping up threads like this is that afterwards I take a look in the garage and want to spend some money!
|
Absolutely fabulous!
|
Gorgeous.
|
Outstanding custom work. In good taste too!
|
Absolutely beautiful work.....
|
awesome car. Awesome parts. Truly amazing work.
Very good taste in this project. I guess body and interior work will be my next phase. Though, since I haven't driven my carin 514 days as of today (who's counting) I will drive it a bit before going to this level. I really want some of those RS seats now though. The 997 GT3 seats take up a considerable amount of more interior and I have a pair of Corbeaus that are brand new but cannot get the huevos to tarnish a 993 with the sub standardness of corbeau. Nice seats IMO but no one seems to use them in P-Cars. THoughts?
|
bump :)

Its the holidays! Now go back out to the garage and see what you want to gift yourself with now :) |
After looking at these pictures I really must go and polish my baby! Seeing all the work that goes into removing the sunroof REALLY makes me appreciate buying a non roof car to begin with!
|
I have to congratulate you Christian. That car is automotive porn!
Tell me, did you paint the lower sills / rocker covers (below the doors!) |
The car is on sale by dealer in germany
Never understand why people put so much work in and after few months put the car on sale |

The car is not listed anymore!
maybe sold? Who knows! Merry Christmas to you all |
Just thought I'd bump this thread back up for those who haven't seen it and those who would enjoy seeing it again.
Go straight to page 3 for pics of an incredibly beautifully executed 993 turbo. I particularly like the interior and I occasionally come back to these pics to contemplate how I could transform my blue/marble interior (yes but it was soooo de rigeur in the mid ninties:cool:) into something similar..... |
My drool would easily roll off of roof w/o those hideous gutters/sunroof.
|
Wow.. such an impressive build! worth bringing up to the top 😎 |
