Default Advice on PSS10

Been searching the forum on suspension but still confuse.
Read somewhere that seem to suggest that need change the mounting. Is PSS10 a plug and play suspension system?

Secondly since i dont track the car and use it once a while only, i am looking more for comfort. How is the bilstein HD set?

any suggestion?

Look in the 993 section and there have been many discussions about this set up. Jim

PSS10's are probably the best option and you have 10 stiffness settings on the shocks. It will also allow you to lower the car which IMO looks much better than the North American height.

Alternatively, you could try the Porsche ROW M030 suspension kit which will lower the car. I currently have this on mine and will change out for the PSS10's in about 1 week.

Good luck

I have the PSS10s on my car. I have not yet tracked the car...honestly, don't know if I will. I have another toy for that now.

They were on the car when I bought it, and I spoke with the previous owner about them at length. They were put on the car with 17k on the clock, and he put 200 miles on after the suspension changeover. My understanding is they are 'plug and play'. Mine are set in the middle of the stiffness range, and it's fine for me on the street. Not lazy, not soft, but not hard.

Hope this helps.

Hi, as far as I know, they were plug and play... I didn't need anything else. They're great, but you might need a small mirror when adjusting the settings so you can see what you're doing, especially the front suspension - mind you my car is lowered to RS ride hide so that my be the reason.

Thanks for all the input. A supplier told me that he can supply the PSS10 but it come without the spring. odd i know. thinking of using eibach with the shock. Would they be good combination?? Any idea what is the part no. for the eibach? Just want to check before i commit.

The PSS10's I bought are complete with springs.
Have a look on Tire Rack or call Suncoast Motorsports in Sarasota for best prices for this kit.
Good luck.

10's are plug-n-play, but you will need to either reuse your existing top hats or buy new.

I think you'll find HD's too stiff if you want a "plush" compliant ride, though they can be revalved to your tastes.

10's are pretty stiff too even when set to full soft.

if you "I dont track the car and use it once a while only, i am looking more for comfort", why do you want to change anything?

HD's or 10's at their softest will be more harsh than stock bits.
cheers

It sounds like you are describing Bilstein HD struts/shocks.

Bilstein PSS10s are a complete suspension package.

There are suppliers in the US that will ship to Malaysia... the shipping cost will be a bit pricey.

New PSS-10's should be silver (zinc plated).

Like Mark said, shipping (the kit weighs 55 lbs) won't be cheap but have shipped these things all over the world.

I am in Australia but got my PS10s sent from the US - so should be just as easy getting them sent to Malaysia. No special mounts required

Thanks guy for feed back. Look the same as those in pics. The dealer said they are the same strut just without the spring. He suggest eibach pro kit.

Shiping costs a bomb and worst the custom here can be troublesome. Easier to get a dealer to import them. Anyway he says will be here end next month. Then I will have a look. But hey its bilstein, what can go wrong?
