It looks awesome! I couldn't take my eyes it for quite awhile either. Mind you Ray George of RPM sports cars has a lovely yellow one, too. (no affiliation) I agree that it would look great in Jamie's collection. Which would be faster the 993ttS or the Ferrari 16M? hmmm

On a relisting, topped $164k, still havent hit reserve! Surely they were looking for tad higher, say $175k, and I think its worth the higher price. Unique interior, note special made color-match speakers, seat belts, etc. Sticker price at the time wud been something like $170k, I guess (standard 993TTS price was $155k).

This is the car I looked at and disucussed in another thread titled: New Member - PPI in CT
They "said" they had an offer at $170 on the car when I spoke to them. I think its smoke.
Nice car but they will only let you have the PPI at their shop or the local porsche dealer (apparently its dealer policy). Its a shame because that car could have a really troubled history that is well covered up. I know that 1 wheel was refinished and am confident that they sprayed the front bumper already.

SSTAR. I just read yr other thread about the car. Since you have passed this car, wud you let us know how much they were willing to accept for it (before you had that argum with them over PPI).
Someone out of this forum, equally totally in love with everything 993TT, has this logic behind the high value placed on such low mile cars: just imagine yourself the owner, paid $170k back in 1997. Havent driven, enjoyed the car since, just kept in storage, while your precious money could have earned interest in bank/investmnets, etc, etc..!! Why wud you part with it for less than the original price! Adds: I mean, I wud be saving, the current buyer, tons of money, by 'giving' him the car today, at 97 prices!!

That's an interesting logic ELPORSCHA. I doubt this car climbed to $170 new. Doesn't have any of the common options or anything that would seriously drive up the price aside from a few exclusive color matching options with the leather. No DSP, no Carbon Wheel, nothing significant except for the supple leather and interior color.
If you are going to drive this one, it needs a black steering wheel. If you look closely some of the leather on the passenger side seat controls is yellowing - most likely from not being cleaned after a greasy hand adjusted the seat.
I, like you, stupidly passed on one of these cars back in 1998. There was a Viola Met. on Black car with sport seats, carbon wheel, yellow stitching and yellow belts car at Champion asking $165. I wonder where that car ended up!
We were in the $172 "ballpark" when negotiations broke-down. Nothing signed just a verbal negotiation that broke down at the PPI location.
If anybody is interested, a crappy cellphone pic of the build sticker is below. I never got around to decoding it.

Looks like the car is back at another dealer in the same area:
