Default Picture Request: 993TT with 315/30's on 18x11 wheel

I'm on the tire size fence and would like to see pictures of WB 993's with 315/30's mounted on 18x11's.

I've got 18x8 & 18x11 BBS LM's.

I'm either going to order 235/40 & 295/30 or 235/40 & 315/30 and can't make up my mind.

You might get some pushing with that tire size combo

315's will be fine. Also 235 for the front?! You can run bigger than that

Maybe I can do 245/40's up front. I'm just trying to balance everything out and look is important. I don't want an pickup truck tire look. I once jumped from 255/40's to 275/40's on a 17x9 and it looked bad. Since the 18's have skinnier side walls the visual impact is obviously less extreme then 16's & 17's when adding +20mm width w/ same aspect ratio. That's why some pics would help.

I know 235/40's look correct on a 6.2 GT3 front 18x8, 295/30's look correct on a 996TT 18x11 rear, and 315/30's look correct on 6 GT2 18x12 rears.

I'm not sure what a 1997 911 Big Bore Twin Turbo is but if the car is AWD, you might want to consider the tire circumferences. The AWD prefers a slightly smaller rear circumferance as compared to the front.
(I like your sig. Words of wisdom there.)

Rufus uses 255x30x19 and 315x25x19. These tires are almost the same diameter as the stock 18" tires, so these photos may be useful to you.

I would not go wider than 235's on 8" front wheels.

Hi
which spacers do you have with the rears?
The regular 993 fitment for the BBS LM 18x11 are et 56 with 23mm spacers for the rear for an offset of 33 - which is what I have. On some dips, even stock sizes rub slightly on the passenger side rear...
Smaller spacers are possible but in that case will likely require longer studs (the 23mm ones have studs on them but with smaller spacers, I don't think will be thick enough for the bolts/nuts). If you have custom offsets, great. The et 56 without spacers, I don't think would look right.

I haven't rolled either the fronts or the rears. I'll occasionally get a "touch" of the tire to the rear bumper under severe compression, but I have the Ruf bumper, with a slightly different profile back there.
