lol... you are giving me some ideas now..
I was going back and forth on whether to put snow tires on and drive it through the winter, but, I chickened out and put it in for hibernation...
The E55 is now relegated to snow duty.

That looks like fun. Took out my second car yesterday to a large empty parking lot. Where one could play without putting others at risk. The 993tt stays in the garage. The gods know that it's tempting. Without winter tires is not worth taking it out. It's too dangerous. Moreover, it is illegal in my country to drive a car with summer tires in winter conditions. Rightly so. The difference is huge between winter and summer tires.

A perfect way to learn the car's behavior is to try it on in a big empty snow covered parking lot. I tested how the four wheel drive distributes power between front and rear wheels in various conditions in an Audi Quattro. They are not consistent in their behavior. Depending on the throttle and gear in relation to the speed they can both over steer and under steer in an extreme situation.

I am removing the awd system this winter and I will be testing the tt's donut capabilities with a fresh guard lsd on dry pavement this spring and will post video shortly thereafter.

Nice one! Is your VC toast or is it because you have a fair bit of lock on/summer tires/slippery surface that the car's behaving like it's rear wheel drive only?
