OT: After 993 tt
Board,
After selling my TT I thought I'd get the next long term project for 60/40 track and street. I pretty much had the ulitmate porsche, so newer models are not that exciting.
I ordered an SLS thinking this would satisfy me for at least the next 5 years, then a friend called me and offered me his Ford GT with 1500 mi and (650RWHP. I hadn't considered the GT but when I researched the amount of performance parts I was blown away.
So the question is SLS or Ford GT from unbiased rennlisters. Porscheless and confused.

I would go for the SLS although the gt is pretty cool. I personally prefer the mark1 version.
If you use it as daily driver I think the sls would be better suited.
good problem to have.

GT is arguably better looking, and has more power and a true manual.
That said, build quality and materials are lacking.
I'd probably stick with the GT. The torque on the 5.4 is impressive.

Ford GT mods, AP brakes, KW suspension, pulley, ecu, and it'll do sub 1:40's. What do I do.

Get the SLS! Any car that is related to the SL Gullwing is a winner in my book.
I sat in an SLR for the first time yesterday and was blown away by the ergonomics. You don't so much enter the car as put it on - the cockpit is truly small and personal, in a good way. The only other cars that makes me feel so "socketed in" are... air-cooled 911s!

GT40
I disagree! The GT40 is a beautiful car. Looking at the car, no one would think a redneck can afford one. It looks more exotic/rare then a 993TT. GT40 all the way.
