This is my old car. I have no idea why it is listed for so cheap, I sold it for far more then that in April of 2008. I honestly would be skeptical.
I had it painted because the front end needed a respray, and decided to strip the whole thing down to metal and do it right. Plus the body shop that did it is owned by a friend of mine so I got a good deal. The paint on the car looked great, but it was not an A+job. I took it back to him at least 4 times to get spots ..fixed. I wasn't personally happy with the job, but no one else noticed any flaws..so I might have been a little too ****. I installed the wheels because they look exceptional on that car. The car really does look unbelievable in person.
The car ran perfect. I had it thoroughly gone over at Protosport. I had the car aligned and corner balanced at Atspeed motorsports. When it left my care, the car really needed nothing. There is no reason for it to be selling at this price unless the car currently has issues, or the owner ran into money troubles..which I don't see that happening. If you are seriously interested, I would have a PPI done at a reputable shop. But me, personally, I would pass on this car. I would spend the extra money for a one or two owner cream puff with all service records. I think this car had 5 owners and I had no service history.

while driving by, I just noticed this car sitting in the showroom of the local Maserati dealer. If anyone wants, I'd be happy to take a closer look at it. Although the listing says it was traded in by a local client, I am not familiar with the car.

Thanks for the lead Doug. I'm kind of fixated on either speed yellow or black as an exterior colour...I know, silver is one of the most common.
Will be looking at a tt in Charlotte in two weeks. After that, the 600HP beast in San Diego ( although it seems to have been extensively modified )

The most recent owner did trade it in for a newish Nissan GTR. The car not sound like it was very well maintained by the PO. I get the impression he dumped it at the Maserati dealer for just under $50K. He was trying to sell it for a while on eBay and AutoTrader without success.
It was sold on ebay for $45k a few months ago.
The buyer attempted to flip on ebay, got no bids, and dumped it at the maser dealer.
