I'd say the parachute would be most useful for anyone wanting to come down to Earth from the sky high expectations being raised in the advertisement ...

Suggesting there's been so much money thrown at this car:
"Got $250,000.00 Invested Plus the Price of Car."
... seems implausible at best.

"Frame is All Chrome."

... oh dear.

And you only have to go to YouTube to see a 1200 hp '94 Turbo going much faster through timing equipment. (226 mph.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hUi2H4Ejn0 (226 mph)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOrG4bXFLmI (sub 10 sec 1/4 mile)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CwlJaeKQ_k (1200 hp on a dyno ... !)

Not exactly to be compared to the things 9ff are producing, but for a privately built rear-engine, air-cooled car, not too shabby even if those numbers are off by a lot (though Dyno Dynamics is generally considered pretty credible. HKS hybrid turbos, 30 psi boost.

ps. Just skip forward to the 4:00 minute mark if you want to cut to the chase.

The parachute is for the drag strip. The funny part is the airplane turbo chargers and chrome chassis.

I don't think one can compare a 993TT with full body to a 1993 C2 narrowbody (it is not a '94 turbo) weighing at best 2300 lbs and running close to 2 bar of boost 7 years later. That C2 can get that sort of performance with 800+bhp, which at those boost levels is not magic, other than staying in one piece, I agree to that.

This car has a similar engine to mine, expect real 620-650hp at 1.2 bar, 700+ at 1.4 Bar as long as it lasts the rest is dyno optimism as usual.

Dyno dynamics accurate? I don't think so, just as optimistic as any of the others around as long as they are run and used in the same way.

The upgrades must be around $60k. unless the chassis is really Chrome

Then add the NOS. Maybe that is how the 850 number comes into play. Unless the NOS is used to cool in intercooler.
