Default Hmmmm not sure your gonna like my car but here goes!

I see some 993 TT sporting some new 05+ turbo wheels and thought it really looked nice..... well I went in another direction and got some RUFs (I know they make them for 996,997, 993 etc...but most classy on a 993 IMO) and a front chin spoiler remenicent of the 993 gt2. I know I am setting myself up here to get pounded but thought some may like the a newer 997 doing some of the old school classic 993 look. A bit opposite then my opening statement where noted some older 993's sporting some new turbo parts.... I just wish they had a wide nice 993 looking tail for the 997......the 993's have the best read spoilers/tails/wings of all the cars I feel....

anyway here goes..... after I post heading out to get my flame retardent suit. Be easy......

Looks nice - it needs to be lowered a bit, though.

Default ahhhhhhh!

I could not agree with you more, no one makes a whale tale for the 997, I mean a true 993 looking whale tail.... I even thought of having one custom fabricated but the costs where just to much. Maybe purchasing a classic whale tale from a 993 and cut it down and have it then attached (yes lots of fabication here) to the base deck lid of maybe a 997 areo package rear wing?..... Sounds bastardizing I know but I think if done correctly could look great....and as far as the 993TT motor please be patient with me..... SC is in the works......although it's not a Tturbo it should get the job done I hope. Thanks for not crushing me. I know posting pics of my car on a true 993 forum runs it's risks......but also value the input from the owners of the nicest looking porsches built....the 993TT! So willing to take the risk..... sure a few grenades on the way, its sunday evening, monday morning maybe dooms day for my 997

Default yes your right

100% right, I have a set of tech art coil overs here ready to go on but a bit nervous. This lip (you can see how much further down it sits compared to stock)
already comes down so much from stock, based on where I live (boston area) any more drop to be disasterous as the roads are terrible around here.... but still may do it.... your right though at some, or rather many angles it is hard to tell if I am ready for some DE courses or some 4x4 off road trials

BTW - I was just trying to be funny with the whale tail and 993TT motor comments... I hope that was obvious.

997 nat aspirated, one of Porsche's most cynical creations, at least they tried to make the ugly 996 look different before realising their mistake and trying to recapture the 993 beauty

In the UK we get charged $150K for a 997 for the pleasure of donating to Porsche's profit coffers whilst the 997 costs buttons to make, even the crate engine costs only ~$12K which would just about buy a set of my turbochargers... Those Ruf wheels are the most substantial component that car will ever enjoy.....

Well you did ask for some stick

Cool. I caught myself pondering how good a red 993 looked today. Then as it got closer and closer, I realized it was a 997S.

I really like your tasteful selection. Be sure and post some pics when you get a wing to go with that front spoiler... hehehe...

Default I know....

I know, but SC is the plan and if I ever go wing/rear spoiler my plan would be to try and get one that resmbles the 993tt as much as possible. Some nice sublte things porsche took in the redesign of the 997 from the 993. Just want to take a few more....
