It would be a fair price if it didn't have that interior. If you like that sort of thing, seems pretty good. Otherwise, I'd look for 5k less at least, assuming all else checks out.

sfbanchs 03-27-2008 06:34 PM

i actually like the interior alot jmho of course

Turbodan 03-27-2008 06:41 PM

I think it is fair priced if no paint work and ppi checks out. actually maybe priced low for a dealer.

sparetireless 03-28-2008 03:16 AM

What does it cost to change an interior color?

$15k?

WHB Porsche 03-28-2008 10:02 AM

Less. You can dye everything but the seats and maybe the headliner.

Isn't that the dealership RL member 'likemystoppie' works at?

Still, it doesn't make sense to buy a car with the plan to change the interior unless it is in horrible condition. Only buy this car if you like the interior color and plan to keep it for a while. It'll be a harder combo to sell when that time comes since the people who like red interiors are in the minority.

It is not terrible, but does take a special buyer to like it.

I like that interior actually and I bet you its MUCH nicer in person. Some brown leathers photograph orange like you can see in the dealer pics. My buddies new Audi S5 with brown leather did the same, looked like ass in the pictures but amazing in person. Stands out thats for sure

I agree with 993TurboS, don't buy the car if you want to change the interior color. Seem to be plenty of tt's to choose from in this market where one can get the color combo one is looking for.

I was at that dealership last weekend, and the car had a "sold" tag on it.

And yes, Likemystoppie does work there. He was the person I was dealing with. Nice guy, like him a lot. No pressure, and he seems like a real enthusiast.

I wasn't saying one should change it, just answering Sparetireless's question.

This seems like a bargin at $69K with only 30+miles, especially when Jerry Steinfeld's 97 turbo S is going for $225k. What is the market price for a 97 S turbo with 9000 miles. A journalist stated the blue book was $87. I've seen 94 Turbo's priced in that range .

This looks to be the best deal on an S right now:
