SHE'S BACK! - RUF 993 Turbo R!!!
Hey Guys,
She’s finally back together and is being loaded up on a truck later today. SHould hopefully be here later this week. Can’t wait to break her in!
I’ll update this thread with more pics as they come in and will be sure to do a proper photo shoot once the car is delivered.
Haven’t driven her yet, but wanted to give a shout out to Hans, Wayne, Bob, Mark, Jonathan and all of the folks at RUF Dallas for working on this project over the past few months. Can’t say enough about their level of professionalism, sound advice and overall attention to detail. The true RUF experience in every possible way imaginable…
Thanks guys!!!!
Kevin
PS, Steve and Pong, when are we going to do a photoshoot??
Alvin, when is Big Bird scheduled to be done??

Not sure if i gave the full update or not, but I sent the car off to RUF a little over 3 months ago.
They tore the motor apart, did a full rebuild including pistons, rings, valves, guides, lifters, clutch - you name it.
Also added brembo's latest brake upgrade for the Turbo R - 380mm rotors up front and 345mm in back. She will hopefully be a new car when she returns later this week!!!
Guys at RUF in Dallas were first class all the way.

Thanks guys!
Scott, we need more pics of your car with the RUF bumpers! Andy, KEEP YOUR CAR!
Have to agree, that 3 months wasn't all that bad for a full rebuild. Those guys at RUF were on top of it!
SF, I decided to keep the mirrors and rear wing stock. I may do the mirrors down the road, but need to repaint the doors and will probably wait until i repaint the hood, get rid of the headlight washers, etc.
I'll take a bunch of pics when she arrives.
Cheers!
