Didn't Ruf make a 5 speed box for the 930 in the days when Porsche was only building them with 4 speed boxes? No idea if they used a special case though.

my car was made 1994 - could they still be using a 930 design or was it updated for the 965s ? I e-mailed Ruf in Germany but they couldnt find records.
I have also found that a Ruf EKS clutch was originally fitted but returned to pedal ( actuator missing now ).Also i hear that the Sultan had a Ruf guy working for him in Brunei so maybe things were fitted there? thanks for your interest.

I have an answer from Ruf now - " part of gearbox where joystick is placed. This joystick knows what gear is engaged and is part of the EKS system ". cheers.

At present the EKS needs a new actuator ( £4-5000 ) so the car has pedal again! I took some advice and decided the system
was too unreliable to run in the UK ( no Ruf service centre ).

Some guy keeps trying to sell some EKS stuff here in US on Ebay.....if you know what you need, maybe you should chase him down.

Supposed to be awesome when its working. Probably best to send it back to Ruf to get it fixed. But that would certainly be a lot of $$$$. That's a prob is you're not the Sultan of Brunei....

If only ...! Back to reality i talked to GT One today and even if the parts were ok it would not be possible to fit, program and maintain them in the UK.
