Yes they are original techart vents and lights, they feature in the tequipment brochure for the 993 so I think you could call them OEM, but only just!

Wow, I never realized these were sold by Porsche. I say you can call them OEM. I take it back!

Well worth searching the 993 tequipment brochure out on ebay, full of lots of good stuff like the powerplant upgrades, aerokits etc etc

This was an interesting time in Porsche history, particuarly in the UK. Up until then, Porsche GB were 100% anti anything aftermarket, I remember having conversations with various Porsche officials (UK) who would spout off about inferior quality and not tested the way Porsche test etc etc.....

More and more "tuners" start popping up with add on mods here and there and Porsche see that they are missing a great profit opportunity. Techart pops onto the scene in the early '90's and a deal is done with Porsche GB (not sure about Germany, I think it was more with individual Porsche dealers over there) and suddenly Porsches are allowed to be fitted with Techart gear at Porsche prices......

Techart really showed Porsche how to maximise profit with add ons - they have never looked back since
