What level of tune (torque) when you bent the alledged "upgraded" rods? Porsche Motorsports (PMS) advised customers that they would see rod failures at 520 hp on GT2 like motors. Looks like Ruf knew that too, as his conversions were advertized at 490 hp, but closer to 520.

It was 750NM which bent the rods. The Ruf 490s usually engine dynoed around 500hp (going to 520 required bigger blowers which Ruf could also do obviously) but they were relatively low in the peak torque department @ 650NM which looked after the stock rods......

is there any comparable acceleration data of a Turbo R and a 520 PS RS-tuning 993?
