Default Steering wheel vibration

My wheel shakes pretty good I'm accelerationg between 40-60 mph...normal above and below. It also shakes when applying the brakes form 60 to 40 mph...also normal when above or below that range. Could it be just a simple rebalancing of tires?

Lumpy,

Take a look at your screen name... that may be affecting your car

Does it only do it when accelerating or braking, or also when holding steady in the 40-60 range?

A shake when braking is generally a sign that the rotors need a cleaning (usually by turning the rotors off the car) to remove brake pad material that adheres to the rotor.

A shake at a certain speed regardless of accell, decell, or cruising is often a wheel imbalance.

Also check your front control arm bushings.
