Default Replacement for heater tube rubber sleeve

I need to replace the orange rubber sleeves that connect the cats to the heater tube and the heat exchangers.

Can anyone recommend something for me that's capable of dealing with the heat down there? I need something a tiny bit longer than what's stock.

I think it comes in bulk (by the meter) from Porsche. But I think it's also quite expensive.

There are a few guys on the 993 board looking for the same hose. You could buy a 1 meter hose from Sunset, cut off what you need and sell the rest. I figured $17 for two 45 mm hose sections including postage when I did the same thing some time ago. If I remember correctly, the whole piece was $172.

Last time I checked at the local Porsche dealer it was expensive for how much hose you got. I decided to pass and kept what I currently have. I'm surprised there aren't alternatives available.

Thanks. How long was it? How much of the stock stuff did you replace for the 90 bucks?

i replaced the one on the left side from heat exchanger to the heatrer bleed valve and the one from the heater bleed valve to the other end i forgot the name, the sleeve i bought from napa was long enough for both and i used a razor blade to cut it and obviously used clamps, i dont really need the heat in miami but the engine sounded cleaner with the piece on rather than off. and of course i am **** with my TT

Been striking out on this search, found something at McMaster though that looks like it should work. If anyone's interested, I'm ordering up 5" ID and 3" ID sections of the stuff on page 199 of their catalog:

From their site (no affiliation):
<snip>
Crushproof Rubber Duct Hose for Exhaust Fumes

* Use with exhaust fumes
* Temperature: Up to 600° F
* Flexibility: Flexible
* Abrasion Resistance: Excellent
* Compresses 80% of extended length
* Color: Black
* Material Meets: Not rated

Carry carbon-monoxide exhaust fumes to underground, overhead, and through-the-door outlets. This crushproof, EPDM rubber hose is ideal for garage exhaust environments as well as for high-temperature applications. Material thickness is 0.10". Hose does not have a support and is not rated for pressure or vacuum. Can be used outdoors. Supplied in 11-ft. sections.
</snip>

So I'll obviously have some extra. I'll let y'all know if it works.

Thanks for the help.

John

Actually back on the hunt. Been told that rubber will harden and crack. They do have a silicon duct as well on page 193 I believe, but it was a wire skeleton, which should be okay, but I was trying to get as close to stock as possible.
