Default RUF Side Mirrors Kit - how to install?

I bought this kit from RUF. There wasn't any installing instructions in package

Could someone tell how these should be connected to car?
Any pictures where they are already installed?
Thanks!

You can either glue it to the glass with urathane, or drill a hole underneath the mirror aat the door and attach it with a machine bolt, best and easiest is to glue it., best, Sonny.

It's up to the buyer. Some don't want to drill a hole, some do. As stated either works well.

Good Luck,

Leonard

Velcro?
Sorry, I'm goofier than usual today.
Ask Steve. He had it done on Rufus. Unfortunately i recollect that, you have to fill and paint over where the orignal mirrors were.

Cool

Rufus has the smaller Ruf Aero mirrors. They are attached to the vent windows with amazingly strong double sided tape. I tried to use plugs, but it looked like I was trying to cut corners, and it was pretty awful. So, I had the doors repainted... but you can't stop there... you have to blend the doors into the fenders. So my cheapo Ruf mirrors (bought used from a buddy) ended up being a pretty expensive operation. I love 'em.

Steve - I guess I had never noticed it before but it looks like your rear bumper is US spec (the license plate recess). I always assumed those parts were the same worldwide. Ya learn something new every day.

Doug,

<blushing with embarrassment>. I actually never even thought of that before. Uhhh. Thanks... I suppose.

<edit> if someone will send me the dimensions of a euro plate, I'll measure the opening and confirm.

Agreed, no plugs on street cars. Your car looks great.

Yes, those ones are smaller. Mine are little bigger because they use interior from stock mirror.
See info from RUF page:

Does anyone have these ones installed? Is the glue right choice? But how does it(glue) look like from inside of car?
What about wires - do I have to drill new hole to door if I use the place, same in that RUF picture?
Thanks for advices!

The factory Porsche mirror is one of the most beautiful parts on the car. I wouldn't use the ruf mirrors to shave in.

Yes, I know. Original mirrors look good but my idea is to improve car's Cd. I'll also install RUF window(A-pillar) spoilers. And these mirrors comes to new CF doors, so original package will be preserved.

Would be nice to see pictures of these bigger RUF mirrors installed on somebody car..

js

I think those mirrors that you have look great, they are the same as on the CTR2, however I doubt they give any CD benefit since they are roughly the same size as stock, the smaller 935 style ones maybe a bit more but we are talking really meaningless amounts here, so get the CTR2 ones for the looks, I agree.

Steve, I was just having a browse through the RUF 993 Parts Program catalogue, and noticed the turbo rear bumper comes in "Turbo US" and "Turbo EU" variants.
