Graeme,
I could be biased, but I think Midnite Blue is the best thing Porsche ever did! And a midnite GT2 is right up there as the best of the best!
Well done! Great car and your decision to buy it was a good one!

+1 on that. Just enjoy the car as-is, and take it to a bunch of track days. Who cares how fast you can get away from a stop light...
... And, please do post more pics. What you have there is the pinnacle of air-cooled turbocharging!

Graeme,
Absolutely stunning car. Congratulations.
I was wondering which rims those are. They would be my ultimate choice when I upgrade mine.
Thanks mate,
Mark

Grant,
Good to see you around - Did you get a Guernsey for tomorrow? If it is wet - it will be FUN!!!
Mark - they are factory GT2 Wheels made for Porsche by Speedline. IIRC they are magnesium centres.... (TB?)
The more I see of the car - the more I want it!
Enjoy,
Simon.

Yes they are the "speedline for Porsche wheels.
Gt2 had the mag centre star, it makes a lot of difference to the weight.
If you consider a rear 993 RS with alloy centre in 10" x 18" weighs 13.5kg
The mag centre GT2 version is 11" x 18" weighing in at a mere 10.9kg.
The only downside to the mag centre is that they do crack more easily and are not exactly cheap or easy to find

When my set of mags was stolen last year I wasn't as upset as I could have been, in the back of my mind I knew these wheels are dangerous and should be scrapped

From what I understand these wheels are near unobtainable. If I were to lay these wheels up and use an alternative for most of the time what would you guys suggest. BBS can crack the spokes on a road car but those GT2 wheels look so sexy. My 964 3.6 speedlines are nice but the GT2 wheels are just pure ****.

That is one of the most beautiful 993s I've ever seen. Congrats.
