Default For Sale: 1997 993TT Andial 3.8

Hi Guys,

After much deliberation I've decided to give up my Andial 3.8 to make some room for a few upcoming additional incoming toys. I've listed the car in the classified but just wanted to make a post here as well. So here it is:

1997 993TT Andial 3.8 - Arctic Sliver/ Black, Full Carbon Package, Heated Sports Seats, Hi-Fi Sound Package, yellow seatbelts. 27,250 miles. Never hit or painted.

Full Andial 3.8 Conversion. Twin plug 3.8L with dual programming ecu which makes 570 HP with regular Gas and 630HP with 100 octane gas. PSS9s, 14" Brembos with yellow calipers, Techart Pedals and steering wheel, 19" Ruf wheels (have original 18s), Euro Turbo S front bumper and rear wing (have originals). Andial 30k service done less than 1000 miles ago with updated Andial design turbo hoses. $95K OBO.

Others are asking $65k-$85k for non converted TTs.

Why wouldn't he get close to $95k for this Andial 3.8, if documented?

Ruf is asking $125k for this one as you posted on another thread.

$80k would be a steal for this Andial 3.8.

Gotta understand that the buyer of these converted TTs will not be your typical buyer of a "regular" TT.

Just MHO.

Me likey very much even at 95k. Just wait for the right buyer. As they say "cannot be duplicated at this price."

you are right but it depends on how quickly he wants to move it. i love the car and everything about it by the way and wonder why even sell. What other car could you obtain to replace it? A bugatti? Let us know what your future plans are, and what additional toys you are considering

all the best

a 3.8 twin plug done by Andial...its a rare breed, not a Ruf conversion and/or serial # but pretty special IMO. Set the market, and why not !!!

if I were in the market, I'd be on that like Kirstie Alley hitting the buffet line on a cruise ship.

sfbanchs:
You seem to delight in pointing out cars for sale and then putting them down for some reason or other.
Take a look at the cars in the background at Amir's house.
He either needs a 20 car garage or a divorce.
I drove the Andial car last year. It is ALL that. I'm just sorry the timing is poor from my point of view or it would never have hit the market publicly.
I did not want to be sleeping in it and newly single....
The His and Hers TT idea met with a somewhat stoney reception....

scottmellor

i sent him a pm apologizing for my comment, i dont nt mean to undermine anyone's car it just seems that these cars are very slow to sell these days, hence tim wasmer's experience, and another individual i know here in miami who had to sell his to the dealer for 45k 1997tt perfect shape all stock 55k miles, all he wanted was 59k and coudlnt get it, he waited a whole year 2nd owner ful lservcice records original window sticker etc. Believe me in my mind his car is worth 95k and i am sure he has an untouchable car collection, but the market doesn't seem to support 993tt sales these days, especially at a price of almost 100k from what i have seen this may be wrong, tal k to tim. also the other thread i pointed out was juts criticizing how he claimed 650hp from stage 2 autothority, the car is very nice, but i just get upset when people claim unrealistic hp figures. Ifi has the $ i'd make an offer for amir's car,

Iam sorry to have started all this

No big deal at all. I appreciate Sebastian's pm and I have been pleasantly surprised to received quite a few inquiries over the last 24 hours. I think any potential owner would have to know the history and workmanship of a true Andial conversion (not just bolt on pieces from various tuners) to appreciate how special this car is. If I'm not mistaken there have been only twenty or so full conversions like this car.

The problem is that I have never been a "car collector", as evidenced by my 10,000+ miles on my Carrera GT and 5000+ miles on my F430 over the last two years, and after realizing that I have only driven this car less than 800 miles in that same period of time I feel bad for not giving it the love and respect it deserves. I also just got a 997 GT3RS which I am enjoying and have a 997 GT2 and 430 LP coming so it is only going to get worse and eventually get kicked out of the garage and onto the driveway where mice can do their damage.

Scott Bradford- Anytime you're up for a drive and coffee please let me know. I hope my lack of owning a 993TT won't get in the way for us to hang out. : )

Scott Mellor - Thanks for the kind words and I truly do wish the timing was better for you. Please say hi to Karen for me and let's all do a ride soon.

Best,

Amir
