Actually, I agree! And color me strange, but I'd rather have a used 993tt than a used Ferrari anyday.......

Steve: With a car as well made as the '97 993tt, who needs a warranty? :-) The ride is beautiful and yours will be too someday soon (hopefully).

If the warranty is really a decision point for you, you can get an aftermarket warranty to pay for doomsday-style mechanical repairs for a couple thousand dollars. I remember reading on this board that GE Assurance was one of the providers of such policies. Do a search under "aftermarket warranties" and you'll get the string of posts.
