Post The Mystery of the Dead Lizard and the 993TT Oil

Here's a mystery that I've not been able to solve. It all started with me draining the oil on my 993TT into an open oil pan.

The next morning we found a dark oil trail circling the pan and a lighter trail from the pan to a space under the garage door leading to the outside.

The first thing that came to mind was that a small animal entered the oil pan and then escaped. However, when I drained the pan, there was a dead lizard in the bottom!

That's where the mystery starts:

1. Did the lizard enter the oil, escape, and then decide to commit suicide by re-entering the oil?
2. Were there two lizards that entered the oil, one being lucky enough to escape?
3. Was the lizard missed, and a search and rescue team sent out to find him, with one experienced lizard entering the oil with special breathing equipment?
4. Was the trail from the ghost of the dead lizard, on his way to his final resting place?

Just wondering if anyone has a similar experience that may help solve this mystery. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

Are you sure the lizard wasn't in your oil pan (the one on the car...or whatever its called where the oil is stored in a 911) and came out when you drained the oil?

hehehe

Bill - the next time you go to change the oil, I suggest you drain your lizard first.

I don't think lizards would climb into oil. I reckon 2 lizards were mating on ceiling above oil pan, got excited and fell into oil feet first, male is on back of female, he can breathe, she is drowning, he carries on humping, she drowns, he finishes, jumps off and runs out of garage!

I'm sure the "humping" theory is correct. And, you can be sure the male lizard never even noticed the fate that befell his girlfriend. As my wife once said "Men; you all think you're alike". I married her because I'm still trying to figure that out.

I went to wash my car one day, and when I pulled down the 5 gallon wash bucket from the shelf I noticed something inside, black and wadded up. I thought maybe I left a sponge or something in it when I used it last.

Taking a hose to wash out the bucket, the damn thing jumps up, screeches, and zips away. A BAT! I just about jumped out of my skin.
