CJ - After owning a C4S and modding it for a couple years, I determined that the modding would never end. Decided that the best option was to find an already modded car the next time. The return on mods when selling are not very good, maybe $.10 on the dollar if you're lucky. So if you have a choice and ultimately want a modded car, I would buy one that the previous owner has already spent a bundle on. Good luck

scott i always loved those wheels on your C4S..
the plan a year ago was to get a 3.8 andial twin plugger, but when they folded the tent on that procedure i was pretty disappointed. that's when i started really exploring my options, but i keep going back to a 993 TT that's already fully gone through the upgrade parade.
any mods that you guys regretted on your TT ?

Here is the transformation of my 993TT in the past 2 years...
When we first met....
First mod... Bilstein HDs
First set of new shoes (996TT-S, my faovorite)
some new GT1 blowers from Ultimate Motorwerks
some high flow Gemballa mufflers with 100 cell cats
RUF Aux oil cooler
Euro Front Bumper
Euro Rear Bumper and Turbo S tail
2nd set of shoes (19" HREs)
Still a little more to do in the interiors... Recaro A8s
I was warned about the slope and never thought I would slide this far but its been a great ride. But I agree with you... if you can find a nicely modded 993TT within your requirements... you will save a lot of money.

It uses the existing threaded holes of you rear seat belts. Its a heavy gauge steet bolt with eyelet and quick click dis-connects for the straps. Plenty of RL sponsors carry them.
No such thing as a slow guy in a twin turbo......be safe.
sorry everyone, now back to your reg. scheduled thread.

CJ, I'd look for a modded car as well. Over the last yr I've been going round and round with a friend to buy his '97TT, we can never seem to come to terms. I would end up spending 20k to mod it to my tastes, so I decided to just buy a new one, but it's just not the same.

Tony (Air Kuul TT),
That is a great looking car. Its one thing financially to buy one done but to develop it yourself also gives a certain satisfaction far beyond the $ return.
