Default Michelin or Pirelli

Hi,

I'm going to purchase road legal so called semi slick tyres. Because they are so expensive, I would gladly welcome some tips.

Doese someone have experience of Michellin PS2 Cup versus Pirelli Pzero Corsa?

I used the Corsas and really liked them a lot. They are slower than the Sport Cup's, but they wear slower too so they make a great street/track tire. If I was driving only on the track or mostly on the track, I'd get the Sport Cups, but if you are like me, where you drive most of the time on the road, then the Corsas are a perfect compromise. They also drive straight on the road and don't follow grooves anywhere near as much as other race tires (Kumho, Yokohama, Hoosier).

Thank you fc!!

I will use semi slicks only at track, so I prefer more grip. PS2 Cup is the answer.
Semi slicks I need because I want to drive my beauty from home to track.

The PS2 and Sport Cup are two different tires I believe.

PS2 is a street tire. Pilot Sport Cup is an semi-slick race compound tire.

If your referring to MPSC and Corsas' I've got lots of experience. Moot point as Corsas' are out of production. You still might find some around which means they've been sitting for a while. Some guys like the MPSC. In my non scientific back to back testing the Corsa's were a second a lap quicker than the MPSC. The MPSC are prone to sudden brake away and require a lot of heat to work. The Corsa's are better on the street but don't like a lot of heat. Take a look at the new Yoko Advan A048 which has been designed for porsche's.

I am with Jimmy (bailed out felon?) on this one. Except for the slower lap times, I did not notice any difference.

The PS2 will be a great tire for both street and non-racing track events.
