Grinding noise on high rev gear change at track
I dont think i have the issue as the other thread on the acculumator, but perhaps i do...
At the track there is a grinding noise when i push the stick into 3rd gear - even before i let the clutch out. Its almost like i did not press the clutch in, but it is in. Its been happening both on 5 to 3 downshifts, as well as high rev upshifts from 2 to 3. On the street, everything is fine.
I had my clutch done about 2 months ago with new clutch and lwfw.
Is this a bad synchro? how to repair? whats involved?

Third gear syncros seem to be ones that give up first for a couple of reasons. 1)one typically uses it a lot for upshifting and downshifting (on-track), 2) 3rd gear is more difficult to 'get' on upshifts since its up and over across a gate and 3) cluster speeds differ greater as you go down the box, so to speak.
More than likely, your third gear syncro is showing signs of being worn.
