I am pondering monoballs.. and am looking for the most road feel and feedback I can get.. and am fine with rough rides..etc..

.. I want to "feel the paint stripes :-)"

Just wondering what folks here think about using them in front, rear, both?? Benefits? Any down sides.. for mostly street use..

I have H/R springs and stock TT sways... assume I need caster/camber plates or a pss9 type mount to optomize the monoballs??

when they are new, they are fine. the ride if firm but nothing to complain about.
but the rough street will beat them up, as they lose their tolerance, things begin to rattle and gets to be annoying. also, if you dont track a lot, monoballs does you no good on street as far as performance improvement goes. spend the money on LWFW or something else.

if you ride on H&R springs only, monoball is useless. in fact even pss9's dont really call for monoballs. try moton or jrz, t hen monoballs MAY make more sense.

Congratulations on your new acquisition! You finally got the baby huh! I am happy for you, and less happy for me Enjoy it, it is a very nice car.

As far as the monoballs are concerned, they will definitely make the car feel uncomfortable, albeit sharper.. However, may I ask why don't you upgrade suspension first? With this sort of torque, you will need the best you can get.. I would do suspension and great alignment settings before going to monoballs, you might not need them anymore..
You will also need some GT2 parts for the rear suspension frame, they will help with squatting and sharpness.
The Ax will soon be going your way, straight from Todd to you.

THX! I'm not looking for a perfomance increase really, I'm looking for a 'raod feel' increase... I probably would of stayed AWD, but wanted the extra 'feel'..

well... guess maybe I'll get the Ps9's first it seems ...though I dont mind uncomfortable..

Why waste the money? Get JICs that already have monoballs as part of the package. They are about the same price as the PSS9s by themselves.... Also MUCH better for a motor like yours...

I have the JIC in my car and they are great! Cant recommend them highly enough.

The great thing about them is the ability to spec up srping rates when you order them (hard/med/soft) and the monobalss as VB pointed out.... Also remember the adjustable camber plates as well..... which makes the all important alignment as Jean suggested so much more adjustable...

Steve, those 1200lb springs that you sold me for my Moton are cr@p, my wife says the car feels like a Cadillac even at stiffest setting, if you still have those 1600lb springs that you use on your grocery getter please send me a set.

btw.. I was also referring to the "control arm" monoballs..(don't want no steenking rubber :-))...(right name?/) not just the 'caps' on the struts..... sorry a motor head.. don;t have tricky names for susp. pieces... ;-)

and I';m not so old that my *ss is bony so I can take the rough ride... :-)
