100 octane unleaded race fuel
I've been mixing 100 octane gas at about 6 gal to fill the tank after puttig in 13 gal of 91 octane. I can definately feel the difference the only problem is it costs about $75 to fill it up. Infineon raceway is only about 10 miles from my house and it's a nice deive over there. Doug

Doug,
From what I've read, the more performance mods you have, the more you need better fuel to maximize your performance. You REALLY can use good gas! I usually blend 50/50 100/91 octane in Rufus for a blended octane of ~ 95 or 96. 100 Octane is $5/gal at my local Unocal station.

Doug,
I spoke to John (your mechanic) and found out you are running the same protomotive program and injectors that I am. Your program has been slightly recalibrated on the low end based on logs I provided to Todd. That being said I can tell you that the car needs at least 100 oct to perform 100% at the 1.2 bar level. I also looked at your dyno results and can tell you that there is lots more power available to you with minor changes.
Next time you refill and run 100% 100 oct fuel disconnect your battery for 10 minutes and then let me know what you think.
I am available to help you if you would like to extract some more power from your car. One ride in my car would prove to you I know what I am doing.
