PP & Clutch upgrade
I have just removed my engine (something I thought I would never do!) to fit an RS LWF and get the correct trigger wheel for going to EFi. I thought its not a bad upgrade as well
However I was going to use my current RS clutch and turbo PP, but the PP broke whilst changing it over and I thought if its best to replace the clutch anyway as the LWF is brand new and the faces wont wear properely.
Also I need a new PP so whats the word on the street for an upgrade- I am thinking GT2 PP (993?) but not sure about the clutch?- will another RS one be ok to keep streetability? I need something for 550HP for sure and perhaps upto 700 maybe later on... or what are the GT2 clutch ones like?

The new GT2 (that is what Sachs calls it, don't get it confused with anything Porsche GT2 as this is only on the market for a year as this high clamping force model) Sachs unit it the one you want. I works great on these cars. I have installed dozens of them. As far as clutch, there are a number of models to choose from. Some do have engagement chatter, so it depends on how you want to drive and what you are willing to live with. Overall for the street, i would get a sprung hub model to help with engagement.

Thanks Bob, so I take it the Porsche GT2 PP is no good or better than the turbo one? Do you have the part no for the Sachs GT2 please?
Also with the clutch I think I will stick to the RS one, if I understand correctly its the PP that has the weakest link when the clutch slips so with this setup it should be good for future upgrades.
Thanks
Edit: I just found out the PP and clutch are the same on the turbos '91 -98 including the GT2 this is from the Sachs cat http://www.zf-trading.co.uk/ but cannot find the motorport one.

I found this http://www.sachs-race-engineering.de...a358/35862.pdf
It has an upgraded PP (883082 999752 HD) they are the same PP upto the 996s - not sure if this the GT2 PP Bob meant...

Can you use this PP with the standard turbo clutch disc? Can it be used with the DMF? Want to retain normal drivability if at all possible (so ideally not a LWF) but may be in need of an upgrade soon.

I am going with the rigid clutch - its the 'performance' one from sachs. These dudes www.design911.co.uk have them on their website they have other clutches as well- torision spring and paddle - I went for the rigid orgainc one- they told me the torsion one wouldnt be strong enough for 550HP+, I didnt have enough time research on this so I went for what they said- I hope its streetable... should be
